This painting shows the river systems of Cooper's Creek, the Bulloo, Paroo, Warrego, Culgoa, Balonne, Barwon and the Darling passing through the Aboriginal land in South West Queensland and North West New South Wales.

These are the same sacred river systems which had sustained the Aboriginal people for countless years as they roamed freely throughout their land.  This painting also shows the sad state of the land and rivers as the whiteman goes into overdrive to clear and plough the land, block the rivers, run some livestock and grow some cotton.

Can Mother Earth recover?  Time will tell.
