Free computer mapping workshop

Whether you are new to property computer mapping or just need your skills refreshed, AgForce Projects upcoming workshops will offer something for every producer interested in
using this property technology to improve farm management.
 

Workshops are being held at:

  • Cunnamulla – Tuesday 20 March, 8.45am-4pm
  • Charleville – Wednesday 21 March, 8.45am-4pm
  • Morven – Thursday 22 March, 8.45am-4pm


Workshop topics include:


• New mapping capabilities and foundational computer mapping principles
• How to use this technology to improve property management, productivity, infrastructure planning/
building, succession planning and to assist with regulative requirements
• Adding bio and physical features to maps such as land types and infrastructure
• Linking GPS for data upload and download


You can do this workshop through two programs:


1) AgForward whereby you receive your property’s latest digital data and a mapping software demonstration
program free through funding from the Queensland Government. The course also goes towards a unit of a
Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management.


2) AGDATA’s FarmReady approved FRTC00337 Sustainable Farm Planning and Management – Module 3
workshop, enabling you to receive property digital data and Phoenix Mapping software as part of the course
materials. A payment of $900 must be made prior to the workshop, however if eligible you may be reimbursed 65%
of this cost.


To be eligible for funding from the FarmReady fund, approval must be obtained from FarmReady prior
to attending the workshop – see details overleaf.


Registrations are required 10 days prior to event in order to ensure enough resources are available for all
participants including information packs and digital data. Participant numbers are limited.
