CEO South West NRM Ltd
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the management of South West NRM. A key component of the CEO’s role is to assist staff, local members, community and industry groups shape an effective NRM strategy for the region. Organisational viability is another key responsibility. Considerable energy is expended in identifying funding sources and establishing strong linkages with relevant parties.
Neil has over 20 years experience in agricultural research, development and extension. Particular emphasis has been our projects working with grazing enterprises to foster long term economic and environmental sustainability.
Corporate Services Manager
Gary is the Corporate Services Manager at South West NRM. He is responsible for managing Financial services and Corporate operations; Gary is involved in preparing funding submissions for funds to assist landholder groups and individuals to implement projects that deliver sustainable natural resource management. He has extensive and varied experience in a number of fields including feral animal control, cattle breeding/backgrounding and cotton farming. Gary is in the process of completing a Bachelor of Applied Sciences with University of Queensland.
Gary is the owner/manager of a cattle property.
Information Manager
Ric is the Information Manager at South West NRM. He also oversees the management of the Information Hub and running the water quality testing QA and QC program for community water testing as well as controlling the GIS operations in the organisation.
Ric has 20 years experience in IT, 6 years experience in GIS and 15 years experience in managing laboratories as well as 5 years teaching financial management software. Ric has a B. App. Science in Medical Laboratory Science
Aboriginal NRM Support Officer
Mick’s position works with Aboriginal people in the region regarding natural resource management.
Mick has 15 years experience working with native title, and is responsible for the management of South West NRM Cultural Heritage Projects within the region.
Originally from the Cunnamulla region, Mick is a member of the Budjiti people.
Acting Accounts Officer
Hayley is our Acting Accounts Officer, providing great customer service and support to South West NRM staff and clients.
Hayley ensures the daily operation of the administration and reception areas runs smoothly and is responsible for administrative procedures including, the museum loan kits and the South West NRM library. Hayley has proven customer service ability when it comes to dealing with our Landholders and clients.
Hayley believes in studying for self improvement and for furthering her career, and she is on her way to achieving this, as she has commenced a Cert IV in Business Administration.
Project Manager – GIS & Special Projects
Paras is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at South West NRM. He provides analytical and technical GIS & mapping service to different projects within the South West NRM and to the partner organisations. He also manages the Special Interest Projects.
Paras has over five years of international experience in environmental planning & GIS applications. His areas of expertise include urban & regional planning, natural resources management and disaster resilience planning.
Paras has a MA in Geography, B Sc Hons in Environmental Science and Diploma in Project Management.
Administration Officer
Talia is our Administration Officer, providing excellent customer service and support to South West NRM staff and clients.
Talia ensures the daily operation of the administration and reception areas runs smoothly and is responsible for all administrative procedures.
Talia has a Certificate III in Business/Administration and is currently studying for a Diploma in Business and Human Resource Management.
Field Staff
Bollon NRM Co-ordinator
Amy started with SWNRM in late November 2011as the Bollon district coordinator and Landcare Facilitator . Amy has been a local for most of her life, however previously she was working for Georgina Pastoral Company at “Lake Nash” in the NT running a camp and doing the recruitment for the company. It was up north where she became involved in the Barkly Landcare & Conservation Association (BLCA) as treasurer for 2 years. Amy was also involved in the Parkinsonia project being conducted by Naomi Wilson on the Georgina River. Prior to working on stations in the NT, Channel Country, the Gulf & the Kimberley, Amy graduated from the University of Qld with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science in 2003.
Amy's role is to provide technical, planning and other support services to landholders and the community regarding natural resource management.
Amy has a good working knowledge of production systems and environmental issues in this area with an understanding of the difficulties that are associated with living and working in such remote areas.
Quilpie NRM Co-ordinator
Craigs role is to provide technical, planning and other support services to landholders and the community regarding natural resource management.
Craig has a good working knowledge of production systems and environmental issues in this area with an understanding of the difficulties that are associated with living and working in such remote areas
Thargomindah NRM Co-ordinator
Toni's role is to provide technical, planning and other support services to landholders and the community regarding natural resource management.
Toni has a good working knowledge of production systems and environmental issues in this area with an understanding of the difficulties that are associated with living and working in such remote areas
Cunnamulla NRM Co-ordinator
Victoria's role is to provide technical, planning and other support services to landholders and the community regarding natural resource management.
Victoria has a good working knowledge of production systems and environmental issues in this area with an understanding of the difficulties that are associated with living and working in such remote areas.
Charleville District NRM Co-ordinator
Daniel's role is to provide technical, planning and other support services to landholders and the community regarding natural resource management. Daniel assists in the delivery of South West NRM's Planscapes and Futurescapes programs throughout the Charleville district.
Daniel has a good working knowledge of production systems and environmental issues in this area with an understanding of the difficulties that are associated with living and working in such remote areas.
Charleville South Region NRM Co-ordinator
Julie works with communities and landholders in the area, providing technical, planning and other support services to landholders and the community regarding natural resource management.
